If you have all Hayward equipment and want automation for it I would suggest the Aquarite S3 Omni. It has capabilities to control your SWG, heat pump, and filter pump. With I believe 2 high voltage relays for lights or whatever else you need.

I loosely dry fit. Measure the pvc from elbow to elbow or coupling then add the depth of the full fit to the pvc. Most schedule 40 fittings I use are inch and a quarter for full fit. With the exception being couplers and tees.

Omni PL’s will give you the option to choose the exact cell. It should say 940 or 340. Make sure to have the cell unplugged before choosing the correct one.

10 deck jets is a ton! Even doing loops would make it hard to have all 10 decks jets look the same. I installed valves at the pad because i didn’t have room or time to install loops but that was only 2.

I think the 950 wouldn’t be sufficient to have everything running at once. I would upgrade to a HCP 3000. It has 3” inlet and outlet. Whenever we have more than one water feature or one skimmer we upgrade.

Hayward Laminars come with little orange valves. You can adjust them individually. They also have screens in the other side of the valve/inlet assembly that can become clogged. They are similar to faucet screens, remove and clean them if you see that they aren’t flowing properly.

Yes get a separate pump. The only time I have not used a separate pump on builds was just a pool and deck jets. We still upgraded to a Hayward 3000 it has 3” plumbing for the inlet and outlet.

Reconfigure the lights making sure to enable Omni direct mode if they are color logic 320. Make sure to select the correct light when reconfiguring as well.

Very important to turn power to the pump off after setting the dip switches for 10-15 minutes. It resets the pump.

The comm wire you ran needs the connector in that plastic bag then switch it out with the one already attached. You can just tuck it in after you disconnect it.

The number 1 dip switch is still up. All dip switches need to be off. Also once you apply power to it with the dip switches set there’s a capacitor or battery that remembers the setting. Flip the breaker to the pump off for 10 or 15 minutes so it can reset then turn it back on.

Does the Omni PL have this capability? I have a customer asking me about it and I thought it does. I know it sends email alerts. I have looked around on the internet and can’t find anything. It’s the weekend and I didn’t want to bug my Hayward guy until Monday about it.

Pal lights usually come with their own driver and a remote. At least the ones I have installed do.

Not all of them are the same. I have purchased 3 different brands and the third time was a charm. Pure Pool or Pool Pure brand filters had the closest filter media to OEM Hayward filters. The other 2 were way too thick and clogged up so fast.

Adjusting the pressure switch should help. I don’t know if Pentair uses the same as Hayward but I have to adjust them because they come from the factory all the way down.
