Likely calcium scale. If you can collect some, get a little pile and put a little acid on them. If they fizz/bubble, it is calcium scale.
Can you post a full set of pool water test results?
I can in the morning get an updated test since shocked and vacuumed. I tested during the week.
FC= 0
PH= +8.0
Alkalinity= 60
Calcium hardness=230
CYA= 0
Water temperature?
Salt?
Your pH is likely 8.5 or above. Lower your pH into the 7s, and brush it should dissolve, may take some hours or days...
First priority is to get some CYA and chlorine in that pool!
Yes. Working on that this weekend. I did add some liquid conditioner after testing but haven’t retested. Vacuumed this evening to remove dead algae. Add 64 oz of liquid chlorine this evening.
Start the SLAM process.
After the SLAM process, maintain your FC for your CYA level. Link-->FC/CYA Levels
Since your TA is at 60, after the SLAM process keep your pH 7.8-8.0 and it should be fairly stable. After SLAM don't force pH lower that 7.6-7.8 with that TA.
