As Gene said - no. The only exception is you may elect to remove the cell and/or replace it with a dummy cell to prevent critters from trying to get in the plumbing. Welcome to the forum.
I bring mine inside so it's not sitting in a snowdrift. It can handle the elements but I sleep better knowing it's hibernating at 70 degrees inside. That's much less of a concern in KY. Instead of a dummy cell, I use a rubber winterizing plug. Then I throw a zip lock sandwich bag over the end and tape it up because my Dogs will be oh so proud of themselves when they find the free Kong.
