If you buy the whole valve, you get all parts in case you need to rebuild the inside parts.

I suspect that a different handle will work.

The size and shape look pretty close.

There is a 1.5" and a 2" handle and they might be the same or different size.

20 year old pool, valve handles are breaking in half, and modern replacements are 90 degrees off.

My handles are breaking after 20 years in the sun: And the flat spot of modern handles are off by 90 degrees. Anyone got a source for old style valve handles? Thanks in advance. I want "ON" to be in line with the pipe valve, not looking closed when open. Rich

I'm late to the party, but could you contact the builder? When I lost a decrepit valve handle last year, the builder sold me a replacement handle (red Praher one like JamesW posted) for $1. We have a relationship with them because they've done a liner replacement and do our closings, so they were willing to help. That might be worth a try. At least they might give you more info. You know what a fair price would be, so you wouldn't get ripped off. Otherwise, I think the suggested items would work fine and you have time to wait for it to arrive. My handle broke in the middle of summer with the valve closed, but your early planning works to your advantage.

Since no one else called it out I will. Keep an eye on this connection. This is on the discharge side of the pump so it's under pressure. I believe that reinforced hose is good for 170 psi, but I'm unsure how it will fare in outdoor conditions with UV working on it. If it were me I'd replace it with schedule 40.

There's 2 kinds of hoses, I always say. Those that popped already and those that wait until you make a left out of your driveway on your way to a 2 week cruise. It's mostly the 2nd kind of hose because Murphys.
