Hello all -

Just had the gunite form removed and noticed that the plumbing is exposed on the outer spa shelI reached out to our PB and they said it’s a non issue and will be putting brown coat when the tile is applied.

Any pool builder or anyone that has experience something similar, your input is appreciated.

It’s most common on exterior spa walls when multiple return lines of larger size pipes (pic#1), it appears this could have been avoided earlier on.
In your last picture provided you are able to see the lack of clearance between plumbing and forms prior to shotcrete.
The concern is that spa plumbing vibrates when at high RPM, this may cause problems if the substrate that’s covering the pipe surface is too thin.

On a side note, the spa plumbing has no “sweep” fittings (pic#2) or air loop system for therapeutic jets that I am familiar with and a few others.

Thank you for your feedback. What would be a fix for pipes exposed? PB said it was going to be covered with brown coat before tiled.

See better pic of the plumbing, I believe it has an air loop

Okay thanks. I’m not exactly sure what ab air loop is? Am I going have any issues without it? The spa will be equipped a booster if that make a a difference.

It’s out first pool and still learning, I appreciate all your help!
