So post hurricane I’m getting a high flue gas temp alarm so no heater. I think I have it bypassed with a wire but alarm will not clear. I just used a jumper wire but idk if anything else is needed to rule out the Ti.
The flue gas temperature sensor is there to keep your heater from melting down and damaging itself. You should only be running it as a test with the sensor jumpered.
What specific model Jandy heater do you have?
Test the sensor with a multimeter or replace it. If you still have the problem after replacing the sensor then you have an internal problem in the heater and the sensor is doing its job.
jxi gen2. I want to ensure I have jumped the sensor correctly to rule it out. Idk how to test the sensor that’s why I put a wire in there to try and jump it. I put a jumper wire from one side to the other and removed the two white wires from the sensor. Does not clear. I’m thinking it’s the board. Probably got wet with 90mph winds. I see a red light also on the board.
Hello, I have a Jandy JXI260N heater, that will not start. It has a Fault High Flue Temp message as soon as it boots. I have jumped out the flue temp sensor with a wire, thinking it will either be open or closed depending on the sensor temperature. It does not have a fusable link in the flue...
Update: replaced main circuit board and heater is back working. Did have to go into the main menu and switch to remote control but appears all is back to normal. Got a board on eBay $100.
