Hi I am in the process of doing a pool deck and I just had a plumber put in a new natural gas stub for my future firepit. This is basically going to be a vertical stub that comes up straight out of the ground. I've also attached a picture.
However after doing some additional measurements, I just realized that after my pavers are done, the gas stub is going to have a height of 9-10 inches above the pavers. I'm not sure if this may be too tall to be able to comfortably fit within the fire pit.
I've tried to do some research on this and haven't found any particularly clear answer on just how tall a gas riser/stub should be above the ground. So I am wondering what is the standard for how tall a gas riser/stub should be? If you have a natural gas fire pit about how tall is your inground stub? Do you think 10 inches can still fit ok in a firepit? Or should I dig the trench a bit deeper so the stub can go down more?
