Beatbot AquaSense Cordless Pool Robot

my beatbot came yesterday and I'm blown away. It's probably not fair to compare a $2100 robot to a $400 robot, but it's night and day for me. I'll write up something a little more in-depth when I get a few more days use, but so far after 1 run it feels like it's worth every penny.
Do you have a Betta? Just wondered if the $2100 model is worth the extra $700 (over Betta) to get the skimming.

I don't. But the pro model also has a bigger battery, the ability to dispense some clarifying stuff (that they're out of stock on) and a few other upgrades like return to point and other sensors. I also like the idea of 1 less robot. If you scroll way down you can see the model comparison

I think it specs out 9 motors so just that is 3 times better than most robots including its "standard" twin.

that's like saying I'll take the 4 cylinder instead of the 8 because the v8 might break more.

kidding... kinda.
🤣 More like buying a hybrid rather than an EV. Hope they got the engineering right! If so, I'll be happy to buy one if my Aiper & Betta products Crud out in less than 3 years.

Just thinking about other threads that are now looking to purchase cordless robot for pool. The name of this thread is not reflective of the actual product which is the Beatbot AquaSense (standard and Pro versions). We are now 4 pages of great feedback on both products.
I would request @pookiesunshine (the OP) or @newdude (Mod) change the title of this thread to "Beatbot AquaSense Cordless Pool Robot" as it would be more easily found with a search.

Agreed. It didn't start out to be what it became, but it got there anyway. (And it's awesome) . I updated the title. Everyone knows Kato will be knee deep in it from the proper title anyway. :ROFLMAO:

I'm still testing the beatbot and still nothing too bad to note. I think the only issues I've had so far are minor. The "docking" is a bit annoying as the bot just uses battery to stay next to the ledge. I'd like the option to disable this feature and save energy and just let it float. This way if I run it at night it's just not burning "gas" using its motor to hump the wall.

Also the app needs a little work, doesn't refresh very well. They also market this clarifying agent that I wouldn't use a bunch, but would like to try and you can't even buy it, it's not yet released. Everything else as far as cleaning has been spectacular, it doesn't miss a spot and my issues so far are very minor.

Mine only runs for 10-15 min max before stopping and floating. I don’t think that 10-15 min uses much battery because it’s just using the two small propellers.

I just like to be able to toggle features and with an app it'd be a nice option. I do like how I can create a custom cleaning mode. The other gripe I guess I have is that I'm not alerted via the app when the robot is done so I don't know to go get it.

Seems like a few simple things they could tweak. Have you given them feedback? Please do. I will too.

I received my Pro version Monday and have used it twice. It seems to clean pretty good but here are a few of my observations (not necessarily complaints yet):

1-Both missions-robot moors at exact opposite end of my pool from where I put it in at.

2-It does not clean bottom in "S" pattern. It goes into deepSense mode. This is, according to support, because my pool is irregular shape??? Its a rectangle! Support says it's because I have curved transitions to the wall...I actually think I like this better than the s pattern honestly...TBD

3-Both times when it's in wall mode, it cleans one 10ft section for about 50 minutes {different spot each time). It still manages to get all of the walls though.

4-App does not push notification when cleaning is done but does when I take the basket out to clean it lol.

5- Surface cleaning/skimming is cool...I'm not sure it useful, but its neat all the same.

Up till know, service has been very responsive, and my current update is the techs are looking into these issues. But they respond (with actual info) within 24 hours to every email I send them.
Like I said, none of these things are deal breakers yet for me, but like I told them, this is a very expensive pool cleaner and I have higher expectations than if it were some junky one. Premium price, I expect at least semi premium operation.

I'll keep posted when I get more info

I noticed that most of the cleanings it went into deepsense mode as well. I also have a rectangular pool with curved transition from floor to walls. Again, it is probably something that does not matter anyway. If it cleans the pool, it cleans the pool.

BTW. What pool does not have a curved transition???

Also the fact that it does not notify you when it is finished is a big miss in my opinion. It pretty much invalidates the parking at the waterline feature. Hopefully it is something they can fix soon.

Yeah I think they're simple and it's clear they're actively working as I just got a firmware update yesterday in addition to the initial one I had when I opened the box.

I would echo these, I don't see and S shape which I also agree is not useful for my pool shape either and where my aipier s1 struggled. Also agree on surface skimming in that I'm not sure how effective it is, but we haven't had any bad storms yet for me to really test it.

yeah I think I noted this earlier and totally agree. The app also doesn't seem to refresh. Meaning if you checked in while it was charging and then reopened an hour later it'd be at the same charge state. You need to force close the app and reopen. Again, minor issues that should be easy fixes with updates... But when you spend $2k on something you hope for rather simpler things like this to be ironed out. That said I'm happy with the cleaning which is the most important.
