Beatbot AquaSense Cordless Pool Robot

Does anyone have the non-pro version and feels that it cleans well enough? I have the bettabot for surface skimming so that being one of the primary features of the AquaSense Pro doesn't matter to me. Other differences are the lack of water clarification (don't care about this), no ECO mode (this could be handy when going on vacation), and fewer motors. Is ECO mode and more motors worth spending $800 more for the pro?

Like clockwork had an update to my issues this morning.

Basically, they acknowledge all of my complaints as legit and said that they will be addressed in a June 21st update.

The only thing that was a bit of spin (I think) was they kind of made it sound like the app not notifying me when the cleaning was complete was localized to me....I dont hold that against them and maybe it is a small group having this issue???

At any rate, I let them know their persistent engagement is very appreciated.

Mine does not tell me when it’s done.

So I am now on my 4th mission and 3 of the 4 missions it cleans my bottom in a diagonal pattern (pool is rectangle) but it stays in a 4 or 5 ft strip and never gets the 2 areas above and below the strip it cleans. As a result, about 2/3 of my floor don't get touched. What's odd is at the beginning of each cycle, it runs a complete lap around my pool bottom right at the wall transition. It also does weird things consistently on the wall cycle.

The one time it covered my floor completely was the 2nd mission. This one tech support said that it was in "deepSense" mode. IT was much more random but coverage was 100%.

FWIW, I use my home Security cameras to review what the robot is doing throughout its whole cycle using the fast forward viewing.

Anyway, BeatBot is very responsive with me about my emails. I have started sending them sketches outlining what its doing so they have a visual aide. Ill attached here...I hope it makes sense. Id really like these issues to be a simple firmware update, so I don't mind giving them detailed info.
Feel free to critique my sketch lol and no, I am not a doctor!

Christmas came early, and the Aquasense Pro arrived today. I charged it to a little over 70% and put it in the pool to see what it would do. Since it wasn't fully charged, the battery ran down and it "parked" at the edge, but it ran for a little over 2 hours. I was expecting the basket to be nearly empty aside from a few random dead bugs, but there was a surprising amount of sand in it. The pool was already pretty clean since I'd been running the old pool cleaner nearly continuously. So the first observation is that this unit does appear to clean more thoroughly than my old cleaner.

I'll post more observations when I can run it again after a full charge.

I’ve used my Beatbot about 10 times so far. Seems to work great. Has challenges around steps and benches, but for and walls are good. I’ve only got a map printout after cleaning once. Does anyone know why that happens or doesn’t happen?

So, I've run mine a few more times now. I've got one part of the pool that the cleaner hangs up on when it's in wall cleaning mode. it's a slight bend that happens to be right at a transition point where there's a steep change in depth. When the cleaner comes back up the wall, it just ends up in the same spot, and does the same spot over and over again. I'm not sure how to get around this.

Email them and explain. They are very responsive.

That is my biggest problem, It will literally do the same 5 ft of wall for 45minutes. For me its at the deep end in a 45deg corner (my corners are mitered).
I video the cleaning sessions and watch them back in time lapse, so I have pretty detailed video catalogue and it happens every mission. As a consequence, it has never cleaned anywhere close to all of my walls in any single mission.

Tech support has been very responsive, and I have sent them lots of data, but this seems like a strange thing to have happen with a robot with so many sensors??

I have other issues too but pretty much its all navigation related (you can see my prior posts).

Any questions or comments, let me know I'd love to help BB get this sorted out but my 30 day return window is getting shorter.

sorry to hear of your issues, mine has been phenominal and yeah it's good to hear they're updating the app as that is my only gripe so far.

yeah the sand in the particulate filter was my biggest surprise as well. You can't really see it and think your pool is clean, but mine comes from my nearby garden and pavers and it's nice to get it out of there.

I hope to get time this week to write a full review. We went on vacation last week so i tried out eco mode. It got 2.5 passes in, so the pool was in decent shape when we got back. I was also able to order and received the clarify. Ran with that in for the first time yesterday. My pool was pretty sparkly, so I have no idea if it's worth it, but for sure it would be nice after opening. The install and activation process is easy and straightforward.

Still very happy with everything but the price haha.

You just left it in the pool?

Did the clarifier have an ingredient list on it? It would be interesting to see if it is similar to clarifiers that pool stores sell.
How much was the product?

Might be on the website, I don't think i still have the box. Again, I'm not sure I need it or will continually buy these going forward except for right after opening. They're supposed to have enough in each cartridge to last a month, and I think that is if you use your bot once a week? Don't quote me on that. You can turn the dispenser on and off though which is nice. Again, would be nice to be able to do this from the app.
