drain plug leak

I have the same issue. Also replaced it with a new wing drain plug with the o-ring. Still leaking. Don't recall teflon tape on the original one.

That's pump pot, not filter. Wrap with T'tape.

Yes, sorry I realized that after I posted it however it was a number one Google so I figured I would ask. It's amazing that they say to winterize that as well, but no one ever has problems with the pump pot and one of those few plugs that you take out when draining the water and no one has mentioned Teflon tape having to be used

Don't always have to, but it helps.

If the tape does not work, check to make sure that there is not a hairline crack on the bottom of the pot, usually on the threaded drain port.

Lube that oring too.
