Vertical Pipe in middle of spa

Hello,

Recently purchased a home and I was wondering the best way to remove the pipe featured in the middle of the spa. See the attached photo.

Clint,

It should unscrew...

Don't try to plug the hole that is left, as water comes through the hole to force your spa to overflow into the Pool, when in the Pool mode.
