Phosphate remover chemical

TFP doesn’t support the regular use of phosphate removers. It should be, at most, a chemical that’s added maybe once per season if it is even necessary at all. Proper chlorination is the key to a clean and clear swimming pool even in pools that might have high phosphate levels.

That said, you can simply use “Add a Note” in PoolMath to keep tracks of the addition.

Well said, Joyful! :) :)

Why did you add a phosphate remover? Was this based on advice from a pool store?

First and foremost, welcome to TFP, @c_g!

For the past several years, I've had the privilege of working alongside the lead developer on the creation of PoolMath, and I'd like to give you a glimpse into the future of this project. As the app has grown over the years, we've received multiple requests to track various variables that are not currently offered. Examples include bather load, water additions, metal sequestering agents, along with phosphate removers. Our aim with PoolMath is to ensure the app is comprehensive and serves as an effective tool for our users in their pool maintenance journey. Our ambition is to develop a mechanism for you to easily track your data, including aspects related to phosphates if this is something you feel would be beneficial to track.

Recently, we've been scrutinizing the PoolMath workflow and have identified the notes feature as an area in need of improvement in terms of user-friendliness. Presently, users enter a significant amount of data into this section, which, as time goes on, becomes challenging to access. As a result, users are left sifting through past data when trying to gain insights about their pools. Addressing this issue is on our radar, and we plan to enhance this feature to make it easier for users to view the data they deem beneficial.

You might wonder, how do we plan on doing this? To be honest, we're still figuring it out. We've deliberated a multitude of options, from adding additional chemical tracking features to developing a "search engine" within the app. Each proposed solution has its pros and cons, which makes it challenging to determine the best path forward. Rest assured, we are committed to finding a solution and providing an improved way for you to view data not currently listed.

Should you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out via email at [email protected]. Either the lead developer or I will personally assist you.
