I recently bought a house in coastal North Carolina that just happened to have an outdoor hot tub. According to the Model/Serial Number Plate it is a Jacuzzi J315 built in 2011. It was in “winterized” condition when I received it. After cleaning out the roaches, debris and small amount of dirty water in the footwells, I cleaned the cover and fiberglass. My son helped me fill it, put “shock” quantities of bleach in it. It appears to be functioning normally. From what I read in the J315 Jacuzzi manual on line (which appears to refer more to models built after 2012), I am letting it run over night and will empty it in the morning. I will then refill it, and start my first venture in hot tub chemistry.

Ahhsome purge to remove biofilms (chlorine alone cannot do this)
then drain, refill & follow this guide

We recommend a purge & water exchange every 3-6 months or so as part of regular maintenance. a small tub of ahhsome will last for multiple purges.
