Zodiac Nature 2 fusion soft - melted

There's 3 pins that connect to that plug. The center pin is the weak point, as that's where almost all failures reported at TFP. There's corrosion on the pins and the plug. Do not do any work on the Jandy equipment, as that will likely void the warranty. Contact your pool builder, as that should still be under warranty if you're under 3 years of service. You'll want them to replace the cord AND the cell.

Is it still making Chlorine?

Also, do you have the mineral cartridge installed on the right side of the vessel? As you can see from the picture, there's dripping evidence of the minerals leaking out. You DO NOT want that cartridge installed. There's articles on this site that state that the mineral cartridge can stain the plaster. I never installed mine. I had the original plug that covered the top, so the unit could work without the cartridge. There's a hack available here as well if you don't have the plug that you can use to remove the minerals and still use the empty cartridge.

Thanks for the reply. The system is past the warrantee the whole system was a mess when we bought the house. It’s now “a labor of love.” A new cell was added last year but not the cable. I have not yet checked to see if the middle rod or something else is bad. No cartridge is installed I did replace the cap when we moved in, the stains may have been there before. I’ll have to see if I have some move in pics. Hate having to spend $500 and $150 for another cell kit and cord but it sounds like that might be the answer.

Did they just replace the cell, or maybe they left the cord and you have it.

I feel your pain with this system. I had a cell go bad after 1 1/2 seasons. My PB tried to tell me I voided my warranty by swapping a new cell in that the PB gave me as a spare. I called Jandy directly and they sent me a new cell, plus a cable. Try calling Jandy, and, if you have registered your SWG system, they may send you a new cell and cord. I think their parent company is called Fluidra.
