Zodiac mx6 only works at highest suction

So this mx6 cleaner is great when it’s working. Leslie’s and Grand Pool and Patio both say it’s not broken.

The problem:
Drives about 30 feet, then just stops. If I spin the bottom blade by hand fast enough, it will drive another stretch before stopping. And yes, it will drive the same 30 feet regardless if it starts turning or spinning like normal. It will drive completely normal for 15 feet, do it’s normal spin, start coming back, then stop.

Other info:
-New tracks, new turbine
-Jandy valve is marked so it’s on the same suction level each time
-works on full suction power, but then moves way too fast. Lowering the suction at all causes it to suddenly stop
-cartridge filter is currently at 16 psi (10psi when clean)

I would start with cleaning your cartridge filter, then readjust your suction side valve again.

I didn’t think my cartridge filters were dirty yet. But WOW! That storm really littered them up! Cleaned them up and the vacuum has been working like new!

I know, cleaning the filters should be one of the first things to check, I just underestimated the dust storm by a lot.
