Wybot C1 Review

Amazon had 3 different models listed…C1, C1 Pro, and C1 Max. Only difference I can see is a 50W motor for C1 vs 65W for C1 Pro, and same motor plus a bigger battery for C1 Max. But when you go to the Wybot website it’s showing a 65W motor for just the regular C1. 🤷‍♂️
What’s the updated 2024 version?

Not sure, but ’m assuming it’s the same as the Pro model with 65W motor because it’s not listed on Wybot website. The current C1 is spec’d as a 65W motor on Wybot website at same price. I guess I’ll see when mine arrives because I ordered the same one from Amazon

Very confusing marketing on this one…

Don’t disagree, I had to do some digging. I’ll update once mine arrives as I ordered the “2024 updated” version as well. If it isn’t the larger motor I may send back and order one through Wybot at the same price point that is listed that way. I ordered through Amazon just because of free shipping and ease of return

ETA: Good luck with your S1. Keep us posted on it.

Thanks! Interested to see how it works out for you. So far so good with the S1, but it’s only been in the pool for half and hour now.

What’s annoy is that after about 30 mins the robot seems to wheelie a lot so it’s no longer floor cleaning, just stirring up the water as is scoots around lost. They say it’s because the bin is full but that’s not the case. I’ve emptied it out barely with sand in it and it’s wheelies again. Any one see this happen?
Interesting. This is with the C1? Mine doesn't wheelie at all.

After 5 seasons my Dolphin Active 20 finally died. Rather than fix it for $300, it's time for a new unit.
Does the Wybot have a decently fine filter? We have a lot of blowing dirt in my area and the Dolphin did a good job of sucking the dirt off the pool bottom. We don't get too much "debris", mostly dirt. What is the consensus of those who have the Wybot?
How much of a pain is it to retreive the unit? Are the pros of cordless worth the inconvenience of charging?
Thanks yall!

It's nowhere near as fine as the pleated fine filter on the Active 20 if that's what you have been using, but more like the screen mesh style that you can change to. I have a Pentair Warrior SE (I think equivalent to Active 20) and the pleated definitely is finer for very fine dust and particles. But the dirt/sand that I get in mine is a little more course and is captured by the screen mesh just fine.

I just received my Wybot C1 yesterday afternoon due to floating cable crapping out again on my Pentair. I charged it up, setup the app and threw it in pool last night in full clean mode (floors and walls). Pool was spotless this morning as I had not vacuumed since last Friday or Saturday (only brushed). The Wybot basket was full of dirt and sand this morning when I pulled it out. The app is cool because you can setup your swimming pool (mine is rectangle, standard hopper (sports pool), vinyl liner). It gives an expert mode where you can choose different paths of cleaning. I left that on default for first run. Only problem I had was I have a ladder on opposite end of my steps that it got stuck under when it tried to climb wall. I left it there for a few minutes to see if it would unstick itself, but it just kept trying to climb (I will test this again and purposely make it get stuck again to see if it will time out and reverse from ladder). I took it out this morning and recharged. It parked against wall and was easy to get out with provided hook, not heavy at all. Recharging took about 3hrs this morning, and I have it back in running in floor only mode and it's doing great. Two things I was shocked being battery powered was how strong the pump is and how fast the unit is. It will run circles around the Pentair and it isn't a fair fight. Wall climbing is excellent. I did not add any of the additional floating kit pieces that come with unit that is supposed to aid in climbing or if it's not sticking to wall. One other thing that is very impressive is how it turns on a dime at true 90 degree angle from one spot. The Pentair would take forever to try and make a turn and pattern just became random. Even though the Pentair cleaned the pool very well, I had to normally run in consecutive cycles to cover whole pool. The Wybot got it all (most) in one run.

Thanks for the info... It's really a shame they don't offer a finer filter, that alone is the defining criteria for me in deciding between the Wybot and the EVO that Marina has for twice the price. When I clean my filter in my Dolphin there are usually a few leaves or grasshoppers in there, but when hosing it out the water is thick brown with dirt and finer debris. Every time.
Doesn't look like the Wybot is going to be the machine for me.

I just ordered the C1 from the Wybot website. $365 shipped with the $15 coupon for signing up for their spam emails. We'll see how it compares to the Aiper Scuba S1 Pro that will likely go back due to the debris that comes out of the back when I pull it out of the pool.

The coupon code is: welcomecode.

I just received the C1 pro from Amazon for $406. I ran it for the first time last night and it worked pretty well. I ran it in full pool mode and it picked up a ton of debris from the bottom which was awesome. It ran at night so I couldn't watch it the entire time so not sure how good the coverage was. Going to run it today on floor only then wall only and see how it does. My pool is caged in so only really deal with sand and silt so not a ton to clean up so hoping something like this for $400 is all I need. Let me know if you have any questions I can try to answer for you.

I got that same deal on amazon, it works better than my Polaris P955 that I been using. Taking it out of the pool with the hook is a little bit of a pain, but my Dang pool is spotless after using it and my jacuzzi is too, never seen the jacuzzi so clean. I am thoroughly impressed so far and will be keeping the polaris as a backup. I did change the pattern for the floor in the app to the star pattern as the first pass it did on default wasn't great.

Yeah I am loving mine so far. It's not amazing on the sundeck but that was sort of expected because of how shallow water but besides that it has been doing exactly what I wanted. For $400 I couldn't have been happier. Let me know if you have any questions I can try and answer.

Mine is on it's maiden voyage right now. It's pretty spazy compared to the Scuba S1 Pro. It moves faster, but it's going all over the place. It goes halfway across the pool turns and goes another way. I'm running it on floor mode.

The app only gets 1.5 stars. It worked perfect for me.

Mine was like that until I changed it to S pattern for floor mode.

I didn't see that option when I choose floor mode. Maybe it's under expert. I can't check until I get the bot out of the pool and connect to it.

Do you think it cleaned better in S pattern?
