Winter safety cover cost/vendor is this good?

Thanks for all the replies and discussion everything just seems expensive these days but is the upgrade to the $4,000 option worth it I'm having a hard time telling by looking at the GLI website. It has a slightly longer warranty but the warranty seem kind of worthless (prorated).

I asked the pb about solid covers still waiting on response.

Solid cover was not recmended due to amount of snow we recieve in the north east.

+1. I don't personally like solid covers but there is no reason you can't use one if you prefer one.

I had a solid cover in northern Ohio, worked just fine. I know NH is a little different but would think OK still.

I think my pool builder just likes what they like and know. They just said want snow and ice will melt through mesh and be too heavy for solid and it will brake.

Always leave extra braking room in the snow/ice. It's 4 wheel *drive*, not 4 wheel *stop*

Got a 2nd quote for the promesh cover came in a tad under $3k.
