All, I have read through other posts and based on the feedback and the number on my whole timer unit is T30404R I need a T104 replacement.
Did a search I see this: T100 Series 40 Amp 208-277V DPST 24 Hour Mechanical Time Switch . Will this work?

I see this on one of the Answers from the HD site
A: Hello Debbie, this is Joel with Intermatic Tech Support. Thank you for your inquiry. This is the mechanism or "guts" for the T104, T104R, and T104P timers. This mechanism requires 208-277 VAC to operate properly. You can always call Intermatic Tech Support M-F 8am-4:30pm and speak with a live technician for support. Have a great day!

I sent parallel email to Intermatic support. They came back with this. So I am good :). Thanks

Hello,

Yes that one on home depot is the correct version T104M or T104MD89 is the same item. The other T104 models will have an enclosure which you do not need. You are ok to order the one you found on home depot rated 208-277v, I wish Home Depot made the model number a little more visible on the webpage.

Home Depot website top right, this is the correct timer in your link !

The issue you will find is that the motor wires (white) on the replacement mechanism are much shorter than the originals that came in the T30404. You need that length to "safety wire" the new clock if it is the one for the cleaner. Or, move the working pump timer to the cleaner side and just use the wires attached. That takes rewiring, of course.
I cut the wires right at the old motor and use them, with the appropriate connector like a small wire nut, and connect to the new white wires after cutting off the brass "eye." Since that is a 240V timer, it doesn't matter which wire is connected to the new.

Thanks for the info :thumleft: I saw these comments about the white wires being too short on on another post, probably yours. The main pump timer is on the left and the cleaner on the right. It is the main pump timer that is "broken". I say it is "broken" because the timer motor does work and the dial spins and keeps time, but when it get to the point to turn on, it will not. It does turn off when it hits the off mark. I have seen this same issue pointed out on other posts, but I have not seen a clear description of what causes this. The resolution is the same, replace the timer.

I thought about just switching the two timers and leaving the cleaner with the now broken timer turned always on with no stops. So when the pump, with the working timer turns on the cleaner will also go on and be on until the pump goes off. In the end I ordered the new T104M from home depot. Ordered it this morning and they have already delivered (via like an uber eats delivery) to my house.

Do you by chance have a variable speed pump? If you do then you don't need a timer for it at all as it has one built in so that pump would just need to be hot all the time from your good timer. Umm, I drive to Home Depot and get what I want. I usually need to see it first.

Not a variable speed pump. I have two Home Depot stores in my city and both were out of stock, but for the same day delivery option they had 16. Must come from a local distribution center. I figured a T104M is a T104M. It probably saved me money both in gas, and when I walk in to Home Depot I buy more then I planned.

Thanks for your feedback.
