Why unscented bleach?

Hi all, I recently switched to LC from tablets, I just get the 2.5 gal refills from Pinch a Penny.

However I like to know why things are the way they are, and I didn't find an answer after a forum search or reading "How To Chlorinate your Pool" in Pool School.

So when using bleach, why unsecented? Is it the majority of pool owners don't want to smell like they swam in a laundry machine, or is there a chemical reason? Same question but with splashless?

Those additives cause foaming.

If you want your pool to look like a massive bubble bath....

If Spring Bouquet is your thing and you don't mind the bubbles.......!
