What to use to fill in pool deck cracking?

The decking around my pool is currently out-dated and needs to be replacing. It was added much later than the pool and they used a pea-stone surface. In the summer it turns in to lava. In the past 1 year or so, the cracking of the decking has been getting progressively worse. Around the edges, where the major cracking is, is because the soil underneath is eroding. I need to fill in ASAP. The cracking is in the decking only and is not at all in the coping or the pool itself.

Aside from the major cracking on the edges I see that the previous owner used some kind of fill to seal some of the small cracks, but I don't know what it is. What is the best filler than I can use, that might also help prevent the cracks from getting larger?

In this image, you can two cracks. The vertical crack which was previously filled in by the prior owner, and the horizondal crack which is newer.

Here are two additional, larger cracks:

Do you have experience with using a gloss coat over the whole pea-gravel portion of the decking? With the filler they recommend using the Eagle Gloss Coat, which seems to have great reviews. Just wondering if it would look good on our type of decking.

We just opened our pool and power-washed the decking over the weekend and I was considering trying a sealer. I haven't sealed in the several years that we've owned our home and I don't think it can hurt to try. I need to fill in the cracks that formed over the past winter (not too many) and give it some consideration.
