What are these two attachments or valves called?

Trying to identify what these two valves or knobs in the picture are for? The white one has monthly marking on it. The black one just say lock and unlock. My filter system is Hayward DE6020. I am not able find the backwash rinse or filter valve.

The black handle is a Slide Valves - Further Reading

I spent almost 30 to 40 mins on google searching what this could be. I should remember next time to ask our experts here first. Thank you the quick help. So if we don’t replace the mineral nature2 cartridge, is that ok?

We do not recommend using minerals. The minerals accumulate in the pool and can cause staining.

Remove it the next time you are doing PVC work.
