WaterGuru Sense 2 vs. Taylor Tests

Taylor has a much better record. I got a couple PH meters and they were useless. I could test the same water 3 times and get 3 different results

How are you measuring FC with the Taylor? I also see no PH/CH comparison, curious did those line up close or do you not have those in whatever Taylor kit your using.

Assuming FAS-DPD trust Taylor. And otherwise test Taylor haha. WaterGuru seems like it would fit a making sure the FC/PH is good between testing hole. If it’s consistently that far off FC testing I’d follow reggiehammond’s suggestion and send it back.

Here's my latest update on my WaterGuru experiment. In short, my Taylor test was significantly inaccurate.

I reached out to the WaterGuru customer service team with my discoveries, and I must say, their response was nothing short of exceptional. I had the opportunity to chat with one of their lead engineers, who also happens to be a significant contributor to this forum. They provided me with another Taylor FAS-DPD test, which confirmed the inaccuracy of my previous test. I now purchased a new Taylor K-2006, and the results it produces align closely with those from WaterGuru. I've decided to keep WaterGuru, as it will be very helpful for daily pool monitoring, with Taylor tests done as necessary.

In all honesty, I was thoroughly impressed by the level of support and communication provided by WaterGuru.

Why was your test kit off that you needed a new one ?

My GUESS is their regents were older. It is suggested to replace the regents at least every other year. It also depends on how/where the regents are stored. They should be stored in a cool, dark area. Mine are in a cabinet in my kitchen.

We should sell a test kit for the reagents :).

Maybe I missed some sarcasm, but...
No sarcasm I was just saying I’d like to know if my reagents are good or bad. I purchased the largest TFPro test kit and it’s served me well through a few slams. Would hate to throw away good reagents or use bad ones.

Seeing big difference in Waterguru vs local pool suppler testing.

WG
PH 7.7
FC 3.1

Local pool supplier testing
PH 7.8
FC 5.1
Get the TF-Pro. Once I got this it pays for itself in accuracy and in time saved driving to the pool store (gas too). Plus your not buying unnecessary nonsense from them based on flawed tests.

Hello ZHENYA, It's been about a year since your posts, and I'm wondering if you can provide an update on your Waterguru experience. Are you still happy with it? I just ran across it today on the internet and came here to search the forums to see if anyone had any reviews. Thanks!

A lot of people have tried it, most discontinue use as its accuracy isn't worth the effort and expense.
