Valve Actuator Not Operating Smoothly

My valve actuator isn’t operating smoothly. I’ve tried to make sure the value and o rings are well lubricated. And I don’t believe the actuator is screwed down too tightly. Any other suggestions for what’s going on? Thanks!

I am not really seeing the issue. Try running it while not connected to the valve and see if it exhibits the same. That will rule out whether it is the valve actuator or the valve itself.

Thanks. The operation isn’t smooth and it seems like the actuator is really struggling to turn the valve. I don’t think the issue is with the actuator itself as it doesn’t struggle when not connected. The valve does seem to have a fair amount of resistance when turning manually. What can be done to decrease the resistance?

I believe the valves are rebuildable. You should be able to take it apart and put new gaskets inside. Before taking apart make sure you have the main valve cover gasket as that will probably not be reusable.

You have a Tork actuator on what looks like a Pentair diverter valve. Make sure you use the correct parts for the valve you have.
