I know floc is a dirty word in this site but I’ve used it perfectly for a few years when opening green pool after winter and never had issues . Shock, floc, vacuum, filter - clear water. However this year I rushed and have added to much so have lots of tiny white particles floating in my water that wont sink.
It’s a lined pool so I cant empty and start again (oh how I wish I could).
I dont have many options so my question is:
Can I run the filter (glass medium) if i change the glass at the end? Or even get the water clear and just backwash the filter?

Welcome to TFP.

Well you prove our point of why we don't recommend it. Sooner or later it bites even experienced folks.

You need to see if the filter gets all the floc out in one run before it clogs too much. And then you need to do a few cycles of filtering and cleaning the filter.

Good luck cleaning the glass. We also prefer using natural sand in filters versus glass.

Isn’t glass longer lasting and more efficient for smaller particles?

Only if you believe its marketing hype. They have to give you a reason to buy it.

Sand can last forever with periodic cleaning.
