threaded male connector on pump won’t stop leaking

Attached it below. I can’t get this darn thing to stop leaking. I usually go around the thread male connector 5 times, two rows with Teflon and it still keeps leaking..any ideas on how to resolve this?

I can’t stand even seeing a small leak so it’s bothering me so much hah

any ideas would be much appreciated

Is there a union on the pipe so that you can tighten the connection more? Have you bottomed out the connection against the flat shoulder? Normally the connection doesn't bottom out before it's tight. Perhaps try a new threaded connection and see if you can tighten that without bottoming out.

It’s pretty tight. I used the white Teflon tape, and I can’t turn it anymore because at the top of it is a 90 degree fitting that goes into my multi port valve and I can’t spin it all the way around again without worrying of Damage

Is there a better Teflon tape I could try or should I put more?

More teflon tape isn't the solution. Your original statement of using 5 turns should be more than enough.
I would go to the store and get a union and add that between the pump and the elbow. Also pick up a new threaded connection and a short piece of pipe. These are available at most big box stores. If it was me, I'd use the new threaded connection and the union to start over. The union will help you later in life if you need to change out the pump.

I have a Union after the 90

alright I’ll grab another threaded connector and try that out. Will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

What you have is NOT a pump union...

Pump unions have an O-ring on the threaded end that screws into the pump.. the O-ring is what keeps it water tight.

The fitting might have gotten too hot and shrank.

I would go with a CMP style high temperature union.

Wow. I never even knew they made a threaded pool pump Union with a rubber gasket like that. I feel dumb.

So that’ll definitely stop the leaks because of the gasket right?
