I have been storing my muriatic acid outside throughout the summer and fall but now that winter is hitting I just had a question whether it can stay outside. I'm talking about a Canadian winter with temps well below sub freezing. Will muriatic acid free?

“The freezing point of Muriatic Acid (31.45% Hydrochloric Acid) is -46C (-50.8F)

How about chlorine. I have been keeping my chlorine in my shed. I have some left to run my hot tub through the winter but should I keep it indoors?

Bleach is another issue.
For example, bleach with 10% Sodium Hypochlorite will begin to freeze at a temperature of 7 degrees F. A product with 5% Sodium Hypochlorite will begin to solidify at a temperature of 20 degrees F.

Looks like this is well covered so I'll just add that I believe I purchased my MA 6 years ago and it has been outside since. I've needed to add acid maybe 3 times in 5 years so barely use it.

And speaking of leaking... I thought I'd never empty that bottle until I accidentally hit it with one of those double bladed weeders when clearing some brush a few weeks ago. Yikes!

I keep any leftover FC in the basement. I want to say it is usually about half strength when I use it on spring opening.

Ok I will bring the chlorine inside then. My containers have vented caps. Are there any issues with the vented gasses for health concerns? Are they flammable?

Bleach is normally stored in indoor laundry rooms. There is no risk in storing liquid chlorine inside.
