Stone Veneer for House Foundation?

I love the stone look, it just needs a clear way to transition to the vinly siding for me. Yours would basically stop and start on the flat back wall without having the seperated area like jmikeb's. And also at the corners where the sides of the house would go back to vinyl. Solve one problem and create 2 more.

We got all winter for you to figure out what you like the best. I can suggest all day long but you have to live with it so feel free to take what you like and kill the rest.

Is the window under the deck a bathroom by any chance ? My house is very similar to yours and have a bathroom there. If yours was too you could get away with building the lattice like the pic you posted. My 6ft wide stairs block the view from mine but i didn’t mind doing so cuz nobody would be using the toilet or shower while admiring the view of the pool. Especially if people were in the pool. The curtain would be down anyway. We retained the emergency exit and also the ability to open the window for Occasional fresh air. If it was a bedroom window I probably wouldn’t want to block it with the lattice.

Yeah. It will be used now so the lattice is out. Are the sliding doors to a bedroom ? You won’t want everybody going through there wet if so.

No window under there - just a man door. There is a bathroom right there but no window. And we don't use that man door at all (but will probably start with the pool since the bathroom is just a step inside.)

Nope - a giant living room. The man door opens into a hallway. Bathroom immediate left - washer/dryer on the right. No bedroom on the lower level.

Yeah so you'll end up using the close to the bathroom door to not have wet kids dripping the whole way from the sliders to the bathroom. You will giggle everytime too cuz wet tracks in the house and bathroom is SO much better than them not getting out of the pool. Matter of fact you'll be thanking them even. GREAT IDEA !!! Go make the house wet. Thanks !!!

I happen to love the rock look you shared! I am SURE they make a "end of wall" rock just for that very application.

Now here is my wild idea..........a mural painted on that wall! You could even let the kids paint it! It can always be painted over when you want to change it!

I do love letting the kids have the creative freedom (they get one wall of their bedrooms to do whatever they want with. My 3 year old currently has glued pom pom balls on his ), but not sure I can let my OCD get past that on this part. HA! But the idea of a professionally painted design... hmmm!

I will when I get home (if I remember, lol!) The 6 year old just repainted and has hand prints from him and a few friends. I could have done without the glue on the walls for the pom poms, but the 3 yr old is the spawn of Satan so you learn to pick your battles. ?

Ha ha on the 3yr old. If he had been your first he would be your only??? I teach several of those! That is what I specialize in-taming the wild ones so they can be with regular society (whatever regular is ) The glue can be sanded off when he is ready for a change!

Yup, you got it! Crazy thing is...I'd have 1-2 more :D

He goes to daycare 3 days a week and preschool 2x a week and is excellent for them. Pretty much everyone besides me (and my husband 50% of the time). HA! You can see it in his 'little Darn' grin

Haha, someone forgot they already had a thread about this! Moved at her request. Bmoreswim.

Has anyone purchased and installed these stone veneer type panels on an exterior? We want to do something to cover our foundation (bi-level style) and these looking tempting. Example links below. We also want to look into burying our kerosene tank or at least putting some privacy fence panels around it. And once the boys are older, we will eventually do some type of decking under the whole deck. Right now, they have a sand trough and play under it a LOT.
