Just tested my old sfs and multimeter reading was 2.52 does it mean it's a good sensor?
- Always!! Turn off the pump when changing the backwash valve positions!!
- Always turn the MPV handle in one direction. Not back and forth or you will tear the spider gasket.
- Be careful that you do not drain water below your skimmer intake. Put a fill water hose in your pool if you do not have an auto fill line.
To backwash the filter...
- Turn the pump off.
- Turn the multiport to "backwash" and restart the pump, watch the view-glass or the end of the discharge hose to see when the backwashed water becomes ~clear - 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Turn off the pump
- When it is fairly clear, turn the multi to "rinse"
- Turn on the pump for 30 seconds,
- Turn off the pump
- Repeat 2-6 two more times
- Turn the handle to FILTER
- Turn on the pump
- Record what your filter pressure is as your clean PSI. You should backwash the filter anytime the PSI rises 25% from the clean pressure.
