Sta Rite heater mouse damage--repairable?

Mice did a number on the wires on my Pentair Sta Rite Max-E-Therm 400. Called a few pool services and my electrician--all recommend that I replace the heater. I found Pentair 42001-0104S heater wiring harness replacement kit. Can this be re-wired by a non-professional? (I found YouTube video of someone using this kit on a MasterTemp heater--I imagine a similar process, looks do-able, but not easy). Would it be prudent to also order 42001-0105S (volt selector plug) and 77707-0054 Igniter and plan to replace these as well? Pictures of the damage attached. Thanks.
