Talking a shot to see if anyone here had the ability, for a charge, to 3D print longer anti-stranding legs for the Instapark Betta. It doesn’t look like there are any available off-the-shelf options. The problem to solve is that my sun shelf is deep enough that the extension legs won’t stop the Betta from beaching itself. Lowering the water level isn’t an option as I’d have to drop it over three inches.

@Katodude crafted his own that ziptied to the existing legs.

Yep I ended up crafting my own legs. Used these:

Cut off two 9” pieces and filed flats on them until I got a good friction fit in the existing leg holes. Problem solved for $8. And the legs are rustproof Fiberglas and round to limit drag. Also easily replaced with no mods to the unit itself.

One more update. The manufacturer will now send you extended legs free if you ask.
I was very excited to see this, but emailed the company about the issue and was told first to attach weights to the vacuum hose, which don't seem to be available for my size hose. And second: don't use the skimmer with other pool equipment at the same time. Not especially helpful. Who are you contacting to get the longer legs?

I ended up returning it though, I have too many different depth steps and ledges. Nothing steered it clear of everything.
