I am trying to help my brother with his 3- or 4-year-old salt system. Originally it stopped working and was giving him Check Cell red light. He tried cleaning it and it did not work. He then decided to buy a new what I would call compatible after market cell, because the Solaxx cell was a bit pricey. Now, the system powers on and goes into System Error within seconds of powering it on and it has 5 lights. The weird thing is..... if he installs his old salt cell back on, it lights Check Cell, but System Error goes away. I have attached a picture of the current error with the new cell and a screenshot of the replacement cell. The question is, Does he have a cell problem, system problem or both? Is the problem the replacement cell only? Thanks anyone for any information.... Greatly appreciated.
