I live in a windy area and my pool is at risk from time to time of getting very dirty from dirt/leaves etc. Are non-chlorine shocks recommended in this case or should I just rely on manual cleaning etc? I almost never deal with algae because my chemicals are always kept within proper levels so I don’t ever use cal hypo and would just slam instead. Thank you.

Non-chlorine shock cause issues in a pool. It will do nothing for dirt or leaves.
