After about a week of having the pool up and filled with water I realized it was installed incorrectly. The wall must be made of 186 vertical slats and 36 beam slats (one is required on each side of the 18 uprights). I attached some pics. I noticed a beam slat was missing on the back side of the pool (right side of the upright in pic). I also noticed a few other beam slats are half covered by the uprights (incorrectly installed).

I went through and counted/labeled all of the slats. There are 188 normal slats and 35 beam slats installed. So they installed two extra normal slats, one less beam slat, and 4 of the beam slats are incorrectly installed (partially behind the uprights). They give 10 extra slats and there are 9 left over so that all adds up.

Page 12 of the linked manual below states, "A POOL WITH EXTRA SLATS IN THE WALL WILL FAIL. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS."

I think I'm going to have to drain the entire pool, remove the liner, and disassemble a good bit of the pool. Since an extra slat was somehow installed I'm guessing it's out of round. I think i'll have to take measurements and fix that and then swap the slats out that are in improper places. Luckily they didn't backfill the area around the pool yet at least.

My main concern now is the uni-bead liner. I have read that you are not supposed to drain your pool unless you are replacing the liner. Are there any major concerns/issues with re-using the uni-bead liner again since it was just installed? I didn't see anything in the instructions for that.

I think your liner is new enough it will probably be alright, but if it seems to not fit going back up you may need to replace. I think I have read people store them in a big tub of water when this sort of thing happens. definitely do not leave it out in the sun!

As @Pv2 said, you may be OK. Liners stretch, and get brittle over time. The good news is that with a unibead, you are not going to get variation in overlap. It is going to go back on the way it came off.

In a weeks time, it should not have stiffened that much. When you remove it, keep it damp, and out of the sun. Maybe fold it all into the center of the pool, spray it down, and cover it with a tarp.
