Looking at semi in ground 24' round pools. We live in VT with sloped yard. This will be DIY install. Considering Radiant or Optimum or ??? Looking for input and any information re:eek:n line kit purchase.

Those seem like good pools. I've looked into both. I don't have a Radiant dealer close by, but I had a quote on putting in a 24' optimum . I'm not going to attempt a DIY on a semi, but I'm sure it's a whole lot less expensive than hiring it out. Another good pool for semi inground is the intrepid (poolfactory). People also have success with putting doughboys in the ground. Be sure to post your build thread when you get to that point.

Depending on your slope, you could go with a resin or aluminum and backfill up to 12" or more depending on the type of pool. In my area, the Radiant install price was so outrageously close to an inground pool installation.

The Radiant is crazy expensive. My quote for the Optimum, put in the ground 22 inches (so it didn't require the concrete collar) was only $13,000 less than my quote for a 16x32 vinyl inground (6 feet deep). Once I added the decking around the optimum, the price would have been even closer. The Radiant is a more expensive pool than the Optimum.

OP, a poster on here just bought an all resin pool from the pool factory. It's the Aurora, and it's a beautiful pool.
