Sand Alternative?

Has anyone dealt with either with these? Are they better than sand?

Sand works perfectly fine in sand filters.....it really does. These two alternatives make my favorite saying come to mind, " If it ain't broke, keep on fixin' it 'til it is!"

As for the Ball's i dont know, but Zeo works, it just has a steep learning curve. In case you are interested i can give you pointers. Since you have a one speed pump, Zeo is not going to work best. Zeo likes low flow. I would suggest you stay the sand course.

Run away from the balls unless you want broken laterals. Note they want them removed and washed in your washing machine every close up. ???

Stick with sand. While anecdotal, the majority of owner reports here show no real difference between the alternatives and sand. Except teh balls, more negative reports on them.
