I have a P-M336A-EP-C pool heater, propane. Last summer I started having problems with the heater that I was able to troubleshoot to being the pilot light. Back then I replaced the pilot light and I when I turned on the heater I could see that the pilot had a flame. The heater display also seemed happy with the new pilot light and cleared the display errors. The problem was, the heater display would say it was heating but there was no fire on the burners and the pool water at the jets was cold. I gave up on it as it was close to the end of the season. I've opened my pool for this summer and I'd like to solve this problem. I have not yet turned the heater on, but I’m expecting it to be the same as it was. Does anyone have any ideas?

Does the board continue to send spark? If not, is there 24V at the MV and MV/PV terminals of the main gas valve when it says it is heating. If yes you need a new valve. If not, you likely need a new board as your board is not completing the ignition sequence.
