Replacement Light Bulbs

Hello everyone,
I am looking to replace both my SPA (burned out) and Pool lights (stuck on one color). I need some assistance on the replacement bulb that I need. My pool and spa was built in 2005. The paperwork I have indicates a Pentair SAM lights SPA (100W) and Pool (500W). I would like to switch them to LED if possible with minor changes. Otherwise, I am okay with just replacing the bulbs with the same exact ones. But I am not sure what bulb will work with my system. 12V or 120V. What kind of connection do I need? Is it similar to a flood light or does it have a 2-prong socket. My goal is to have the correct part before I start the project.

Thank you,

If this is your light then it takes MR16 bulbs. But I would pull one out and check.

Do not run a pool light for more then a minute when it is out of the water. The light uses the water to cool it and running it out of the water too long can overheat and damage the light.

Thank you ajw. Would that be 12V or 120V MR16? Also would I be able to use a MR16 LED (changing colors) bulb as a replacement?
Thanks for the tip on not leaving the light on while out of the pool.

120V SAm's have and integral 12V transformer.
All SAm's use 12V lamp.

How would you control the color changes in a MR16 LED?

I don't know what the longevity of a MR16 LED would be in a pool light housing. My experience with LED bulbs is the electronics throw off heat and is often the component that fails. Being in a pool light housing is a harsher environment then in a house fixture that it was designed for.

Sounds Like I will need a few MR16 12V. SPA is not working at all. Pool is stuck on the color Blue. I sure hope the issue is not the color wheel. Thank you so much
