Unlike the regular Superpump where you can slip a 7/16 wrench to hold the rod while undoing the impeller, the expert series is differen and it looks asthough I need to do something/hold in place this end as I remove impeller except a flathead screwdriver isn't cutting it? Do I need a special tool? Am I a weakling? Or am I approaching this wrong? Thanks

Try a strap wrench on the fan. Just don't tighten it too much. It has more leverage.

Hello,
I too have this issue and a strap wrench on the impeller still doesn't work since the leverage on the impeller is better than the flathead on the end shown in the above picture. Any other tools or methods recommended for disassembly?

Thanks!
