Raypak 206A Water SW OPEN

I have done my best to trouble shoot this error. Skimmer, pump skimmer, and backwash filter. Used DMM to ohm ring out the switch. It closes/open continuity as it should when flow is present. Used the DMM at the switch prongs and pull the harness at the control board. Switch operates as it should with flow present and yet I still get Water SW Open error. I made several adjustments on the switch and it always open/closed as it should when pump was cycled on/off. I would be happy to purchase a new switch but based on my testing the switch is fine. Additionally, I jumped the switch close and still got the same error and the heater would not fire. The heater is brand new and worked fine the month of May and most of June until this week. Is there something I am missing? Has anyone faced the same issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to TFP.

If you jumped the water switch closed and still got the water switch open error then the wires leading to the board are bad or the board is bad.

Did you jumper it at the board connector?

I suppose tomorrow I will jumper the two pins at the board and see if the pilot kicks on…I anticipate that it won’t…but it’s worth a shot…thanks for the suggestion @ajw22 !

I need to contact Raypak as this was purchased in October 2023 and sat in its box in my garage until this spring…no issues for almost two months…will be disappointed that the board could have gone bad so quick! (n)

Either infant mortality or a critter chewed on a wire while it was in the box.
