Question about Pool Size: 80-85 ft perimeter

We are in the beginning stages of getting a pool in west Houston and had our first PB out to give us an estimate and draw something up for us. According to him, our pool would have an 80-85 foot perimeter due to our budget.

I am having a hard time visualizing if that will be a big enough pool. We have 3 kids, 11 and under.

Can someone please post pictures of their pool that has a perimeter in the 80-85 ft range?

Thanks!

Tx,

Welcome to TFP.. A great resource for all your new pool questions... :shark:

Your best bet is to just take a garden hose and measure off about 85 feet and lay it out in your yard in the basic shape of a pool.

That will give you a pretty good idea just how big (or small) it will be.

Thanks for posting,

Jim is right... pictures are very hard to get a perspective. The hose idea is the best way to do it. The other thing to remember is, you can't make a pool bigger later on. My $0.02 worth is, depending on your back yard and what your plans are, get it as big as possible now. Oh and your budget, add another $6-8k. You'll end up with changes and things you need to buy.

Here a picture of my pool. The perimeter is 83'. The length is 32'. Hope this helps.
