Hello I recently moved into a new home and am new to pool maintenance. I already drain and power wash the pool to remove any algae or debris. I am wondering what type of primer paint to use for exposed gunite pool? And what pool paint to finish on top. Thank you in advance.

Best option is removing the old finish and replastering. All modern paints wear out very quickly and so not recommended. It’s unlikely you have exposed gunite unless the plaster has fallen of. Got any pictures.

Normally gunite pools are not painted.. I suspect you are looking at the plaster that covers the gunite..
When this plaster reaches its end of life, the pool is replastered. This is not a DIY project.
