This works much better. The repair wedge seems to come loose and is easily damaged by overtightening the metal screw into plastic threads when trying to make it tight again.so , the top screw mounting of my light niche is broken. I have the typical Hayward sealed lamp case.
I came across something called a POOL LIGHT REPAIR WEDGE.
Anyone use one. Will it work? Any tips to share. My pool is about 5'deep in this lamp area. Should be interesting retro fit...LOL.View attachment 454206
Interesting. As usual, CMP took a product and improved it. The original Pool Tools light wedge was all plastic except the screw. They failed often. Thanks to both, for the reply's, this brand wedge has stainless steel bolt, and a stainless steel female receiving adjustable bracket in the center of the wedge, as opposed to something plastic. I'll give a go, if not the clip will be next.
