Pool Ladder for heavy people

Hello, New to the forum but have been reading the page for a few weeks. I apologize, still need to set up my signature.

My husband is a big, tall man and two pool ladders now won't hold him despite the 300 lb rating. Any suggestions on a 400 lbs above ground pool ladder that doesn't hang on the sides of the pool. would like to keep costs between 300 and 500. We have a 15' x 48" Intex prism frame.

I found two online that fit my criteria. One with a gate I was unable to locate the other had awful reviews.

any advise would be much appreciated.

What I am thinking is building a wooden step with a small deck on the outside. Then you could attach any steps to them for the inside. I am thinking the stability offered by the wood outside should help the inside part.

I was thinking that as well. I am not very handy but maybe I can convince the neighbor to help.lead and do stairs inside the pool instead of a ladder.

We just got a new pool and I didn't want a ladder. We didn't build a deck, but put in a patio, so we built steps up to the pool out of composite wood and added a railing. New to tfp so I'm not sure if I can post a pic.

They have a 400lb weight limit. They are very sturdy and stable once installed.

Those look nice! Looks like they really tried to make sure there is plenty of water flow as well! How are they weighted to stay down?
