Pool filler leak

Our pool has an automatic filler reservoir. (It's a "flush with ground" covered reservoir with a toilet filler valve). It's plumbed in, whereby the toilet valve shuts off the water when the pool level is reached. The problem we are having is that the water is not shutting off, even though the toilet filler thing is fully functional. It appears there is a leak in the pipe before the it reaches the toilet filler unit. My question is this... Is there a retrofit kit of some sort for reservoirs, or do we have to dig up the cool deck to access the leaking pipe? Note: the leaking water is still going into the pool so we believe the leak is close to the reservoir. Help! and Thank you! -- Jennifer

If water is getting in the pool then it would seem the leak is directly in the valve. Have you tried replacing it yet?
