I had my pool resurfaced and retiled last October. We now need to resurface the deck (concrete) as the previous owners just painted it and the paint is peeling everywhere. The concrete company admits that the process is messy and will make a mess in the pool due to the dust during the grinding process. I am worried about this. I just bought a warrior SI robot and wondering, is it ok to run the robot every night after they are done to get the junk out of the pool? Is there a better way to clean the water? Im also worried about staining the surface of the pool but not sure if the concrete dust can do this? Any advice is much appreciated thank you to this community so much! I should also say I am trying not to drain the pool as my water is balanced and new, but I realize my numbers may be off after this project is complete. Should I increase my chlorine while this work is being done? I don’t have a SWG I chlorinate with liquid chlorine. Thank you!!

Robot will help, but nothing works better than a manual vacuum. I would give it light brushing, then wait 30 minutes for the dust to settle. After that, hit it with the manual vacuum.

I’m going through a similar process now! What did you decide to do? I have a large tarp over it and debating whether to cut it to fit into the pool like a solar cover.

we didn’t cover it. Pool
Became a MESS for about a week. Couldn’t even see the first step. Took lots of vacuuming and letting the robot run and we are sparkling clear now, however I was freaking out and a mess the entire time. It’s not a job
I’d ever wanna have done again unless I was getting my
Pool
Redone at the same time.
I attached pics of during the construction and one of the pool now. Over all now that it’s done I’m very happy but it was very stressful
As a pool owner.
