I’m having issues with my 4 wheel suction side poolvernuegen. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Things I’ve done to try and alleviate the issue-I’ve moved weights on the hose back one joint and even two joints. I’ve cleaned out the D.E. Filter completely and put fresh D.E. in. I’ve attempted to put my variable speed pump at different levels with no change. I’ve taken apart the cleaner completely and cleaned out debris. All things that I’ve tried made no change with the cleaner. It still tilts forward. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So…my poolvernuegen suddenly stopped working. All wheels move as they should but the back wheels don’t touch the pool floor anymore. This only started recently. I’ve tried moving the pool weights to no change. I have also cleaned out the DE filter and put new DE in. I’ve taken the cleaner apart to see if anything was stuck. I changed my variable speed pump to different speeds and nothing seems to make those back wheels come down. Any ideas?

Is the first hose that's attached to the cleaner the one with the special cuff at the cleaner attachment point?
Yes. Same hose. This only started to happen recently. Everything is as it was when it was working well. I’m not sure what’s causing back wheels to float.

Have you checked the wheel speed as in the initial setup? I seem to recall mine running that way when I had a cracked hose section cutting down flow.

I have not. We’ve got a bit of rain coming so I’ll have to wait. However, I have gone as far as removing all hoses except the hose coming out of cleaner and putting the cleaner in the pool as such-no hoses attached except the one coming from cleaner and the back wheels still float up! I just don’t get it.

Hi @Mike11918 im having a similar issue with my zodiac mx6- it’s doing wheelies. Were you able to resolve your issue? What worked? I haven’t taken it apart yet to delve deep, but I also know very little about this topic so am searching around to see how others solve this issue. Thanks!

No, I haven’t resolved the issue. I’ve succumbed to manually vacuuming every week.

I was looking at mine, and my best guess is worn or defective back skirts. Other than a bent hose or weight placement, I have no other ideas. Inyo Pools has a tutorial on changing out the skirts. Shopping around, they can be found for less than $20. Let us know if you get it resolved.

Thanks for the reply. Vacuum is only a few months old. Hard to believe it’s the skirts. I’ve tried the weight placements in different areas to no avail. It’s definitely something with the vacuum itself because if I disconnect all hoses and place just the vacuum in, the back wheels float up. Just no idea what it is. I’ve succumbed to manually vacuuming.

Being only a couple month old, it should still be under warranty.
Contact the seller or manufacturer and see if they have a solution or will provide a replacement if defective.
