My booster pump is leaking. Seems to be where two sections meet. I’m learning most solutions to pool plumbing leaks are replace a seal of some kind. Is that what’s going on here and is it DIY?
Thanks

Any/every time one sees that corrosion on the un-painted portion of that type motor it is the shaft seal, a PS-1000. Get it repaired soon or you will be looking at replacing the motor. They are expensive, as motors go.
If that pump ran dry for any length of time the impeller will likely need replacing as well. That's the usual cause of a seal going bad in a PB4-60.

The breaker is fine as long as it is just for the booster. Many times a booster pump is on the same circuit as the main pump and tripping that breaker will stop the pool from circulating. Check to be sure.
Check the wall/in-line screen if the Polaris has been running slow. It could be clogged.

I just cleaned the line filter, replaced the pressure valve, and replaced the swivel connection. Also cut back some of the hose and replaced all of the other connections. Didn’t see anything overly worn inside of the Quattro body; gears looked good, nothing broken. Still didn’t want to climb walls like it used to
Thanks for the help everyone. Fixed this today in 20 minutes and only cost about $10. Still waiting for it to blow up but seems to be doing well so far
