Pool is a year old we maintain it ourselves and realized our basket is turning pink, I believe it is some kind of mold or algae, I haven’t check the filter yet, the pool itself doesn’t look to have a pink hue to it, although it is hard to tell. What do we do? 10,000 gallon pool. IMG_2936.jpeg

I would remove the skimmer socks and look at your filter.

What type of filter do you have?

Post a full set of test results from your own test kit.

When my husband gets home we will do that

You have a decision to make. Do you wish to get a proper test kit and take full control of the pool water chemistry? We are here if you wish. The mold/fungus/algae is due to chronically low chlorine. Luckily, you live in an environment that green algae is hard to get. Our desert environment is pretty sterile. But regardless, the water is not safe to swim in. That low of chlorine, if correct, is unsanitary.
