Ok well we’ve finally made our choice. After talking to NPT we’ve decided to go with Stonescapes Mini Pebble Tropics Blue.

Aqua Blue - a little too light
Midnight - a little too dark
Tahoe - I’m not sure, I still like Tahoe. Their most popular color by far, per Houston salesman at NPT (8 out of 10!)

He assures me there is no green to worry about in Tropics Blue and really said on clear days I’m going to see a reflection of the sky or surrounding areas (green trees?) off the water.

I really don’t think you can be free of any green with the natural off the shelf pebble colors in this range. All of them have a cream or red or brown or aqua color aggregate in them that will cast a bit of green given curcimstances.

Pics of our pool below waiting on plaster and the sample of Tropics Blue.

Really some of the old TFP members photos and comments helped me finalize the selection as much as anything. Hope it’s holding up for all of y’all tropics owners.

Thanks everyone.

3asyB,
Interested in seeing the final results of pool with tropics blue. Do you have any of the finished pictures? Also in middle of the dig and have same thoughts with Tropics blue but would be nice to get your impression?
Thanks,
KB

We just finished our stonescape Tahoe blue mini pebble pool last month. The water color turned out just the way we were looking for. Cool different tones as sunlight changes during day. Definitely, this plaster choice was hardest decision of the entire build. These forums helped a lot. Threw a couple bags of abalone in after reading some posts. Sparkle is pretty in the sunlight.

Here is a thread we started for plaster colors. I hope you will add yours when it gets done!

Pool Finish and Color Viewing Room...TFP Member Sound Off

We went with Stonescapes Tahoe Blue mini pebble with hand tossed abalone. Water color changes just as we hoped it would as the daylight comes and goes. We matched the seats and steps to the tanning shelf and fire pit stone cuz wife was afraid the mini pebble would snag her bikinis ? Mini pebble actually turned out really smooth so wouldn’t have been an issue. However, the real stone is very smooth and comfortable to sit on if anyone’s curious. Also, gives a nice pop of color in jacuzzi and grotto seats. These forums were a huge help during design phase. ??8744CBE5-CA4D-445A-8691-A534A3D18A73.jpeg6881C29A-75A1-4768-944C-973607BF3F6B.jpegC16E2FB3-E2E0-4F3B-9BF2-437460D2F4A0.jpeg156C8B1A-B518-403D-A443-0189E795D385.jpeg91127DCC-FCF3-45A7-8A71-338005139809.jpegEB547A51-0211-4362-B184-F6860B3728EC.jpeg9E7AA356-37A0-44EE-8B7D-286574511C7D.jpeg

Are you still happy with Tropics Blue?

I definitely like the tropics blue over some of the lighter ones that the PB was pushing, I do think going backwards I would probably investigate the pebble Tec brand a little bit more simply due to the idea of what’s required of the installers.

we also have a fairly shallow pool so I probably would’ve preferred a little bit darker of a color however my spouse would likely not agree with me
