I own a Pentair Triton II filter that is probably around 10 years old or so. One of the two ports is leaking. This indicates the leak is inside the bulkheads and to repair it properly requires an expensive repair (removing all the sand, replacing the bulkheads, replacing all the sand, etc.)
I now believe it probably is best to just replace the filter. However is there some patch fix I could do in the meantime that will last for maybe a few weeks? For instance, could I just apply a bunch of putty on the outside of the port or something like that?
Let me know if that would work or if that is a bad idea.
Thanks for any help!
